Guidelines for using a site map and what does it have to do with SEO?
Why use a site map? A site map is useful for SEO to make it easier for indexing spiders to find all content of a site. Search engine spiders or bots have a hard time following links that use JavaScript, like mouseovers, so a site map with a collection of plain text links to all pages can make it easier for more pages of a site to be included in an search engine index.
